2014 Chicken Kart King - Round 1

My apologies for the belated report on the first race of the CKK. Results was not that great for the race as I did not qualified well to start off with. Final race started with a spin, but the kart's pace was good in the beginning of the race. Another spin took place as I was trying to avoid another racers incident as i went off track, which further cost me my position. My kart's pace fell significantly near the end of the race where I struggled to get speed and grip for my kart. The race ended with me at P16 and my team mate Toni Chan at P17. 2013 Chicken Kart King Race 3 at Shajing Race Report

Weather for the day was expecting rain but never took place and the temperature was warm, which was good for racing. The condition of the karts were not in their best condition with poor laptimes. I was going into the race carrying an overall 2 nd in the championship, therefore keeping pace and trying to get more points was my main directive of the day. Qualify Qualifying session ran smooth without any incident. Although I felt the kart have good balance, but engine was not performing very well, a bit of adjustment to the carburetor did help a little but not a lot during the seesion. At the...
